Yesterday was May 10th and it was also the full moon day of Kason (according to Myanmar lunar calendar). Kason derives from the Kusone ," Ku" means water and "sone" means pouring. It is one of the important days for the Buddhist people, on this day Gotama Buddha was born, attained the enlightenment, passed away. Buddha attained the enlightenment meditating under the Bodhi (boo) tree. Therefore, every full moon day of Kason,Myanmar people are pouring water on the Bodhi tree and it is one of lovely festivals.
